It's good to know that I'm somewhat desirable.  Since my tongue is firmly implanted in my cheek, perhaps it is myself who wishes to eat me... but that would require more energy than I can muster at the moment.  *Note to self: Get more sleep before self-cannibalization.*

In looking up the spelling for cannibal, I found a site for Cannibal The Musical! It says it's a black comedy and I would imagine that it would have to be.  I don't think I'm really all that interested to be honest.  Let me know if you find anything worthwhile there if you go.

My eldest daughter likes zombie movies and I never really got into them.  It is a shameful secret, I know.  Like the middle school dance thing - I am too old to exist in that world.  My 'almost as old as me' friend would balk at this, "Really?!  You don't like zombie movies?"  Then again, there is plenty that I do that my daughter doesn't comprehend AND my friend still isn't as old as I am.

Not sure why I'm on this track, but it's an odd path, and I like odd paths...

So, I haven't visited Oatmeal in a while, and it is such a silly place to read - maybe not as weird as sponge monkey, but still a fun place.  If you haven't been before, it's worth a look-see and if you have, go back again - just for a good giggle.  Please note that all words in red are linked to their websites.

Hope you all have a tasty day!

  • Jennifer likes all things Zombies. I don't get the attraction, but then again I like a good Vampire read so maybe it's me that's a little off. I do love the original 1978 version of Dawn of the Dead by director George A. Romero. That will forever be a timeless cult classic. I;m going to go check out the last couple of links you mentioned. I pulled up the pages and they look interesting. I hope your Odd Path leads you into a very happy Monday. Enjoy the day. BTW, it's pouring rain over here.

  • Liked the website Oatmeal. It's now apart of my favorites bar. Never got into zombies either...

  • My sister did her persuasive speech on cannibalism in her high school speech class. It was satire, of course, but there were still some students who didn't quite get it and who were extremely wary of her for the rest of the year. (She also passed out beef jerky and said they were "samples.")

  • 28% for me and if they are desperate enough to eat me then they need to go to McDonalds:)

  • Haha - I went to the oatmeal site and read about how much cats kill. It was hysterical and eye opening. My cat was born behind a tamale factory in Chicago on 7/4/03. When she was still my neighbors cat, she lived outside and in their garage. I think that is why she choose to live with me instead. I let her in the house. I know my cat is a killer that bothers some people but it is just in her DNA. She actually seems a little depressed when the weather is bad and she hasn't been out in awhile. Come spring and her first kill, she is so much more relaxed. Okay, that was probably TMI about the cat.

My older son is a zombie fan. I am easily spooked so I have never been much for horror. When Erik did Sweeney Todd in college he recommended that I not attend. He was killed in it, probably eaten, too. He never told me that.

    Anyway, have a good night!
