Happy New Year folks. For my resolution this year I vow to give up pickled substances and toy stuffed monkeys. I also plan not to wear any hats bigger than 2 feet in any direction.
I'm in Connecticut to help settle my grandmother's estate. Don't feel too bad for me, she was in pain and it was a quiet death. We weren't close either; she wasn't pleased that we adopted. I do get to see all my family though. We get along very well and know how to have a good time. It generally involves great amounts of excellent food and alot of laughing.
I expect that I will spend my inheritance on non-pickled substances and treat anyone who comes to call to an exotic drink with a fruit spear and a paper umbrella. Just give me a few hours notice so I can plug in the blender.
ta!

I can't believe she wasn't thrilled with the adoption of Seeta. I recently watched an episode of Sex and the City in which Charlotte's mother in law isn't too keen on the idea of her and Trey adopting a little girl from China, either. Cannot. Get. My. Head. Around. That.
I'm still sorry about her passing, though - not the best start to your new year
Who could possibly say no to a fruit spear and a paper umbrella though?!
Hope the new year improves drastically for you and your gorgeous family
